Designers Robbie de Villiers and Jeremy Dooley have been hard at work developing a typeface exclusively for their city — Chattanooga, TN. With Chatype, Chattanooga will be the first U.S. municipality with their very own typeface. The creators envision using Chatype “for the city website as a webfont, for city-associated signage, brochures, logotypes, and even private enterprise projects with a Chattanooga focus.”
We salute their commitment to such an ambitious project and hope this inspires others across the country to envision a unified brand for their own city. Can Tampa be next?
